PIMELIA STUDY 2

Check out the wierd fluffy bits where the stems fork. I took these photos on the 31st of August, the Thursday after I'd been up the headland.

PIMELIA STUFF - STUDY 1

So this is what Pimelia looks like. I took this shot with the digital camera so that I could get an understanding of the plant structure. The macro is great for getting close up details of the plant. You can really check out the itsy bitsy bits.

PIMELIA STUFF - ORIGINS

Well I finally got an idea for documenting Arty Stuff I do. This is the start ... So this plant I've started painting is called Pimelia. It's a native and I found it growing on the top of this headland. When I found it I did'nt have a clue what it was called I just thought I'd like to make a painting out of that. Anyway the headland is at the north end of Roaring Beach where we own a private forest reserve and go camping in the caravans we own.
